Baptism of Karina
Karina was baptized on February 1, 2004. It was during the visit of her grandparents and aunt from the Netherlands, so they could all join the service. The Dutch visitors had brought a very old baptism dress with them, that belongs to our family for over 50 years! Grandma had spend hours ironing the dress, so it looked like new!
Karina and her parents were surrounded by lots of friends, and of course her grandmother from mothers side, Mrs. Dargar.
During the service it was not allowed to take pictures, so this had to be done afterwards. Karina's parents and grandmother formed a colorful picture.
There was another child who was baptized, and the minister was busy posing for all the camera's.
After the photosession, we all went to a big room next to the church, where we had coffee and cake. The parents were congratulated, and Karina got a lot of presents!
